The Digging Up Glasgow exhibition runs until 29 October 2010. Digging up Glasgow celebrates the story of Glasgow's growth from the first settlement and gives a fascinating insight into what archaeologists do and how they do it. The exhibition showcases many archaeological finds from across Glasgow, including a medieval grinding bowl that has never been on public display before, leather shoes from the Roman period and an axe head that's over 5,000 years old, making it one of the oldest objects ever found here
