The Society of Antiquaries of Scotland: The national learned archaeological and historical society, with over 3000 fellows worldwide
Nautical Archaeology Society: A membership organisation that seeks to further interest in underwater cultural heritage with membership open to divers and non-divers, archaeologists and the general public. It has a Scottish training centre.
