ADAPTING ARCHAEOLOGY: FORESIGHT FOR CLIMATE CHANGE IN THE UK

A one-day conference bringing together forward thinking on the likely effects of climate change for the historic environment and how archaeology and conservation need to adapt to meet this new challenge.

The programme includes current research from the UK Climate Impacts Programme and the UCL Centre for Sustainable Heritage, and papers from English Heritage, the National Trust, the Environment Agency and others on the effects of climate change on coastal management, soils and water, agriculture and the landscape.

A detailed programme will be available in May. The Conference fee of £65 includes lunch and all refreshments and conference literature. Places are limited so early booking is recommended.

A special 25% discounted fee of £50 for early bookings before 21 May is offered to members of the Council for British Archaeology, Council for Scottish Archaeology, Institute of Field Archaeologists and ALGAO.
