Membership of Archaeology Scotland (CSA) is open to all individuals,
societies (such as local archaeology and history
societies, amenity societies, civic societies)
and institutions committed to Scottish archaeology.
Membership fees start at just £20 a year, and benefits and services include:
- A free copy of Discovery & Excavation in Scotland (currently retailing to non-members at £25 + p&p) will be delivered free of charge to your home. This annual illustrated journal details the archaeological discoveries in Scotland from the past year.
- Archaeology Scotland magazine which gives you all the latest news, events and goings on in Scottish archaeology, will be sent to you four times a year - it even has a Members’ Page so you can contribute your ideas and opinions!
- Scottish Archaeology Month! A calendar of free archaeological tours and events takes place all over Scotland each September - the events guide is delivered to you before its national publication
- Our annual Archaeological Summer School, held at different sites around the country, teaches the public the kinds of skills used by archaeologists to investigate and survey archaeological sites – Archaeology Scotland members are given priority placements
- Scottish Archaeology Fair offers great fun for all the family with an open day of archaeological expertise - all the latest information is delivered directly to Members
- Archaeological Research in Progress conference
– A conference showcasing up-to-date, regional excavation and
investigation – we’ll send you information and booking
forms direct to your door, and give you reduced rates
- An invitation to our annual AGM where you can give make your voice heard in person! combined with an annual Members’ Day.
In return, you'll be giving us the support we need to continue to promote stewardship and participation in Scotland's archaeology.
