Members' Day
Archaeology Scotland's AGM is incorporated in an annual Members Day that is staged in a different part of the country every year in order to give as many Archaeology Scotland members as possible an opportunity to attend. The Members Day provides a varied and enjoyable day out that includes talks by guest speakers, site visits, and stalls and displays on topics relevant to the particular area. There is also an opportunity for members to discuss any aspects of Archaeology Scotland's work with the Board and staff, and for local societies to network.
The 2007 AGM was held at Inverness where those present voted overwhelmingly for us to change our trading name from the Council for Scotttish Archaeology to Archaeology Scotland. The Members' Day included guided tours of the famous Clava Cairns and the battlefield of Culloden.
